Collaborative teamwork to redesign DBM

The design team in Dulles and the rest of the User Experience department in Mountain View and Savannah are collaborating to work on a new redesign of the Digital Brand Management (DBM) service user interface. The redesign will concentrate on some of the issues that have been raised by customers, including placing a new order, status, and domain management. The goal of the redesign is to reduce support calls and provide a more usable self-service experience for the customers.

Usability testing will be done with existing customers at the usability lab in Mountain View. The Dulles team and Mountain View team will be on hand to perform iterative improvements on the prototype and analyze the results.

Redesigning the iDefense Vulnerability Contributor Program site

We are responsible for the user interface for MSS, iDefense, DBM, and Brand and Fraud Protection Services. In 2007, XXX's team worked on redesigning the iDefense Vulnerability Contributor Program (VCP) site. The Vulnerability Contributor Program enables individuals to provide iDefense with advance notification of undisclosed security vulnerabilities and/or exploit code. The existing site is primarily informational and text-heavy, with an offline process to collect information from contributors.

The goal for the redesign was to freshen the look and feel of the site, improve page clarity and user interaction, and to create an online process for submissions. The VeriSign colors were used but VeriSign branding elements were deliberately downplayed to maintain a separate look and feel at the request of product management. XXX's team designed a clean and open interface, and defined a flexible and extensible page organization that displayed the information clearly. Interactive forms were developed to gather all required information from the user.
