The usability testing revealed many issues with the Three-Screen Showcase download and registration process. Maryam and her team communicated the results clearly to me and the stakeholders, while creatively addressing the issues. The new design fixed some major problems with the application. We launched the redesigned site in early December and I am seeing a 20% increase in the number of weekly registrations.

The User Experience Design Web site contains resources to be shared with development groups across the company:
In November of 2007, the User Experience design team designed a new registration/download page for Three-Screen Showcase. Usability tests were done on the existing and new designs during September 2007, and the team used the findings to design and implement a new site that went live on December 7.
The goal of the redesign was to make the registration more apparent and easier to use. The team also created an HTML mini showcase demo for users who were not able to install Kontiki.
Since the new site went live, registrations have increased substantially, even during the slow holiday week. Lead generation reports showed that users had to enter their information at least twice. With the new easier-to-use form, users need to enter their information only once.
