The 2012 Wolfe & Wolfe Prairie Home Tour

August 18, 2012

The Preservation Action Council of San Jose is sponsoring the Wolfe & Wolfe 2012 Prairie Open Homes Tour on August 18, 2012. The tour will celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the partnership of Frank Wolfe and his son Carl and their four years of designing and building their distinctive Prairie houses in the Bay area.

The Raymond Henkle House

This house is one of many of the Wolfe & Wolfe prairies in Naglee Park. It was built for Raymond Henkle around 1914. Raymond Henkle was a partner in the well-known apothecary, the Curtis & Henkle Drug Company, which later became the Owl Drug Company under his sole proprietorship.
